The DNM 3D preamp can only be appreciated fully when one has travelled the audo journey with DNM from the start, like i have. It is truly Denis Morecroft's latest audio incarnation and in my opinion none i have heard approaches it's outstanding resolving powers, nor its absolute lack of coloration, nor it's ease of presention of music without the smearing of nuances but the discretness of instruments and voices yet leaving you a most completely satisfing audio presention, seamless and proportion.
The performance of this preamp in such areas as resolving transients over the whole audiorange is trully breathtaking, with some drums being so palpable you can feel on your chest wall or solar plexus! The texture of instruments remains infinitely natural in a way i had never heard before and if any equipment approcached this presentation it was another DNM preamp, the 3 C.
Ofourse the rest of the audio chain is also important and i use the DNM Pa 2 BS poweramps, the DNM ROTA T/T with the Lexe cartride.
The system improved even futher with large audio gains with the HFTN interconnects. This i will argue are a must. The layering effects and the depth information that the system now expressed was trully superlative. These are improvements i have never hitherto heard from any sytem regardless of price and i have heard many a system some approaching ? 25,000.
The DNM equipments and particularly the 3 D Preamp sound so right, and if you like what they do, then look no further. You will not find this type of sound any where else. Over the years i continue to derive increasing pleasue from my DNM equipments so much so that i am now resolutely committed to them , becuse they never fail me. They are also extremely reliable with very good backup service should this be required.
The impact of Linn in audio development cannot be overstated, yet that of Denis Morecroft is even many times greater in my opinion so much so that i think he is a genius!!
